 Did you know: Before being named as an assistant to coach Bora Milutinovic in 1994, Sampson worked for the World Cup organizing committee as a vice president for competition management. The job was not for him, however, and U.S. Soccer federation president Alan Rothenburg appointed him as the fourth assistant to Milutinovic. Speaks fluent Spanish.
