Marseille was founded 2,600 years ago by Greek traders. Inside its famous Cosquer cave is evidence that people lived here 28,000 years ago.

 Most Famous Native: Bouillabaisse, a fish dish with onions, garlic, olive oil, tomatoes and saffron.
