Kafelnikov Captures Australian
Yevgeny Kafelnikov defeated an unusually error-prone Thomas Enqvist, 4-6, 6-0, 6-3, 7-6 (7-1) on Sunday to win the Australian Open and his second Grand Slam title.

Martina Hingis (pictured) held off Amelie Mauresmo to capture a third consecutive Australian Open title on Saturday. Hingis was able to counter Mauresmo's powerful play to claim the 6-2, 6-3 victory and her fifth Grand Slam title in two years.
