Virginia Region

1967 Virginia Tech Hokies

This is considered by many to be the best Hokies team in school history. Virginia Tech advanced to the East Regional final this year before bowing out in overtime to Dayton, 71-66. Glen Combs, who is a member of the Hokies Hall of Fame led the team by averaging 21.3 points and called it one of his most enjoyable years because of the sqaud's ability to run the floor. Virginia Tech could probably not pose too much of a threat to one of the major contenders but in a one-game scenario could be dangerous.
