Robards as Bradlee

Talk about perfect casting! His looks and raspy voice made Jason Robards
the ideal choice to play Benjamin C. Bradlee, then the executive editor of
The Washington Post. Robards won an Oscar for his performance.
Meanwhile, Watergate and the movie made Bradlee famous and he was
often seen at glamorous Washington parties. Bradlee had a much-publicized
romance with Sally Quinn, who was a writer on The Post's Style staff. They
wed in 1978. The two appeared in the 1993 version of the film
"Born Yesterday" as the secretary of the Navy and his wife.
