'My Fellow Americans'
This comedy sends former U.S. presidents Russell Kramer (Jack Lemmon) and Matt Douglas (James Garner) on a cross-country flight from assassins. Bitter foes at the outset, they form a shaky alliance while scrambling from helicopter to train to motorcycle to car to pickup truck to horse.
Along the way, they suffer the abuse of citizens who either loathed them while they were in office or have now mistaken them for impersonators. Dan Aykroyd appears briefly as the sitting president who may be behind the assassination plot. -- Kevin McManus
