'2 Days in the Valley'
Set over 48 hours in the San Fernando Valley, "2 Days" starts with a murder. One evening, sleazy husband Peter Horton begs his way back into the bed of his estranged wife (Teri Hatcher). Moments later, the house is invaded by three professional assailants, who knock Hatcher out with an injection then blow out Horton’s brains.
Waking up beside her dead, bloody husband, Hatcher runs out into the road, straight into vice detectives Jeff Daniels and Eric Stoltz. For Stoltz, who has been dying to get into homicide, this is manna from heaven. -- Desson Howe
