Swing may not be new (ask your grandparents for tips on a "jockey" or "throwout"), but it certainly is now. First came the success of the movie "Swingers," then the Gap's swingin' ads. Now bands like the Brian Setzer Orchestra are getting airplay around the clock, and bars and clubs around town are clearing space on their calendars and floors for swing nights. Swing culture is jumpin', jivin' and wailin' in all its saddle-shoed glory, daddy-o.

Let Style Live put you in the, er, swing of things with our new, ongoing guide to the D.C.-area scene. This section will be updated with news of upcoming shows and other features. Because, as you know, it don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing!
