    By Alan S. Kay
    Special to the Washington Post
    March 27, 1998; Page N42

    Image resolutions: 640 x 480, 320 x 240
Features: Flash, viewfinder, serial-cable output to computer
    Removable storage: None; internal memory stores 36 640 x 480 shots, 72 320 x 240 shots.
    Weighs: 13.1 oz.

    Use and Operation
Taking a picture: No physical sense of taking a picture, only a slight beep and flash of the red light next to the viewfinder. Three-second wait between shots.
    Agfa Camera photo
Section of above photo, enlarged to show quality.
Image output: A little more than five minutes to transfer a full roll of film to a computer
Battery life: 342 shots, half with flash; uses four AA batteries.
Image quality: "Not very sharp, somewhat flat." On-again, off-again color rendition.

    Overall Assessment
How much would you pay for this? $150
Comments: It's too bulky to be comfortable as a carry-along camera, and the images aren't fine enough for anything but snapshots and Web page images. It might well be a good workhorse for shots you need for record or reference purposes.
