Usually, D.C.'s embassies affect you only when their off-limits street parking spaces leave you no room to deposit your car in Kalorama, but every now and then you might need to look up travel regulations, print out a visa application or check when you're allowed to wait in line to drop off said paperwork. The best resource for finding our diplomatic neighbors online is the Electronic Embassy. (Backup site: the new Embassy Network) At this locally run site, you'll find a comprehensive listing of embassy contact info, plus semi-random notes on related sites or other trivia (e.g., "the flag of Nepal is uniquely shaped"). Bonus content includes general diplomatic-community news, a calendar of events and architectural descriptions of a handful of historically significant structures.
