www.worth it Are You Game? June 25, 1999
Most of the Web sites about sports focus only on people who get paid to throw, catch or hit the ball or who are in college to do the same. Launched back in February, Youth Sports Network takes a different approach, aiming to build an online community centered around youth sports. It tries to make the kids the stars, while encouraging parents and coaches to get more involved in their experience. The site includes more than 3,000 pages of tips, up-to-date news, features, league sign-ups, camp information and player profiles. There are even practice drills created by actual coaches, which users can print out and use in their practices, and a Q&A section where first-time coaches can get helpful hints from experienced ones.
