Finding a dentist when you're new in town can be as much fun as pulling … well, you know. The phone book works, as do recommendations from friends, but the American Dental Association offers more specialized help at its Web site, where you can look for dental providers in your city or individual Zip code and even search for particular specialists – say, an orthodontist in Olney or a periodontist in Prince William. There are also articles on such cheery topics as root-canal surgery and gingivitis, if you need a little motivation to floss today.
