eBay Live 2003 Cont'd
Thursday, July 3, 2003

Some dealers arrived wearing clothes promoting their eBay user identities. Gary Neubert is one of eBay's biggest dealers, selling shipping supplies under the name "gatorpack." He was hob-nobbing with fellow "power seller" tina DeBarge, who embroidered the site's log on the seat of her jeans and tatooed it on her ankle.

Ebay's convention tries to recreate the treasure-hunt fun of buying and selling on its auction site. Attendees play spin-to-win wheels, collect and swap trading cards and collect "eBay Live Bucks," a special currency awarded for attendance at classes which they spend at charity auctions.

A giant inflatable eBay logo outside the Orlando County Convention Center greeted eBay Live attendees.
