Tip 129: The Airport Pick-Up Problem

PROBLEM: You’re having a friend or relative pick you up at the airport, but it’s difficult to contact them if you’re delayed (those in-flight phones are expensive).
SOLUTION: Plan ahead and visit TheTrip.com’s Flight Alert, advises Joel Wallace of the District. Go to www.trip.com and click Flight Track, then Flight Alert. The free service allows you to enter up to three e-mail addresses to be notified of your flight’s arrival time. Assuming the e-mail gods cooperate, this info gives your picker-upper peace of mind, not to mention saving them time, parking fees, etc.
