PROBLEM: Carrying around copies of credit card numbers, postcard addresses, travelers check serial numbers and the like can be a hassle.
SOLUTION: Get thee to a cybercafe. “Before I leave home, I send myself an e-mail to a Web-based account such as Hotmail,” notes Stephen Seitz of Washington. “It contains all the information I usually write down: hotel confirmation numbers, passport numbers, any other emergency items I may need. Then I just visit a cybercafe to call up my e-mail if I need the information.” And, Seitz advises worrywarts, “if you have privacy concerns, just code your e-mails.”
