"About two weeks before leaving on a trip," confesses tipster Marybeth R.
Dority of Fort Washington, Md., "I start cutting out the daily crossword
puzzles from The Post. When I'm ready to leave, I clip them together and slip them in my purse. They don't take up much room, and when I have to wait in the airport, on the plane, on tour buses, etc., I pull one out to pass the time."
And if you get stumped, you've got all the solutions right there, too.
Dority wins a Washington Post Travel section T-shirt for sharing her tip.
