"While driving into Rome on a bus, my friend began to get car (or rather bus) sick," writes tipster Suzanne Adamko of Silver Spring. "With nowhere to go and nothing on us to deal with motion sickness, I remembered reading how sailors would rub citrus fruit under their noses to help with seasickness. I pulled out the lemon-scented moist towelette that I got with my meal on the plane and she began smelling it. It worked wonders! Just remember to rip the top off the package and leave the towel inside, or else it will dry up and lose the lemon scent."
Adamko, a true friend in need, wins a Travel section T-shirt for sharing her tip. Want a shirt of your own? Get a whiff of the fine print below.
