A group has formed in Brown Grove, a historically Black community in Hanover County, Va., to oppose what some see as the biggest existential threat of the town’s 150-year history: a $175 million Wegmans distribution center.
During the melee, Austin Lanz shot Pentagon officer George Gonzalez with the officer’s service weapon, before turning the gun on himself, the FBI said, in its first detailed description of the encounter.
Proponents hope to pave the way for withdrawing other long-pending authorizations for military force.
