TEXAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SHOOTING
The 18-year old gunman opened fire at the school and was killed by law enforcement officers, authorities said. It was the deadliest mass shooting to unfold at an American school in nearly a decade.

The race between Gov. Brian Kemp and David Perdue, a former senator, unfolded as the highest-profile test of Donald Trump’s pull in this year’s primaries. Georgia’s secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, also prevailed against a Trump-backed candidate despite strong headwinds over his handling of the 2020 presidential race.
