Authorities said the suspect in today’s blast — identified as Akayed Ullah, a 27-year-old immigrant from Bangladesh — used Velcro and zip ties to attach a homemade explosive to himself. The incident occurred in an underground passageway in the area of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. The suspect was among four people hurt, authorities said.
