How much power does Chief Justice Roberts have in the impeachment trial?

Overseeing the trial of President Trump is an interesting role for John G. Roberts, who’s used to presiding over legal proceedings. But that’s not what the impeachment trial is. Impeachment, instead, is an almost entirely political process managed largely by the party with the majority in the chamber.
