E-mails show UNC changed report on academic fraud to keep NCAA away

The head of the Faculty Council asked for a change in a sentence in the report about how bogus classes were created to protect athletes, the emails show.

March Madness: What's the academic effect?

A nationwide independent poll funded and conducted by me strongly suggests that during the three-week NCAA championship tournament, many classes will be cancelled, the minds of many students will wander and very little in the way of academics will get done at dozens of schools across the country over the next few weeks.

Terps Coach Williams: Keep college advising to yourself
