A 'Mad Men' star sneaks onto 'Today'

Whatever happened to manners? That's the question that NBC correspondent Miguel Almaguer -- formerly of Washington's NBC 4 -- set out to answer in a segment for the "Today" show. In the process, as Entertainment Weekly noted, he ended up interviewing a former "Mad Men" regular ... but didn't identify him as such. Michael Gladis -- who starred as Paul Kinsey in the first three seasons of the AMC drama -- gets the simple tagline "customer." Watch. The whole thing goes down at the 1:49 mark. I mean, really, wouldn't it have been courteous to give Gladis a better title? Like, "Actor formerly known as Paul Kinsey"? Or "Dude who totally hooked up with Joan and gabbed too much about it"? Or "Resenter of Peggy Olson"? Something. On the plus side, I really look forward to the upcoming "Today" show segment that asks, "Are we too rude on the road?"...

The 'Mad Men' finale: Who the heck is Megan?

"Who is Don Draper?" That question is so out. The of-the-moment "Mad Men" question -- and one we'll probably be asking for the next several months until the show returns to AMC in 2011 -- is "Who the hell is Megan?"

'Mad Men': Who was this week's empowered heroine -- Allison or Peggy?

Peggy Olson -- proud copywriter for Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce and a woman largely succeeding every day at a man's game -- broke away from her suit-and-tied work environment to hang out with some '60s-era counter-cultural hipsters during Sunday's episode of "Mad Men." Is this just one more reason why Peggy is, as Popeater contends, "the real 'Mad Men' heroine"? While I admire Peggy for a number of reasons, I'd say our Miss Olson still has some baggage to deal with before she can fully emerge as a bona fide heroine. In fact, based solely on the events that transpired in this most recent "Mad Men" installment (title: "The Rejected"), I'd say the real heroine of the show is Allison, Don Draper's now former secretary (and one-night stand) and a woman who -- as the video above demonstrates -- isn't afraid to throw an incredibly heavy cigarette dispenser at...
