Busy weekend of events in D.C.

Most Metro lines disrupted this weekend; opening early Sunday for marathon

Some lines will be disrupted by maintenance, but Metro is adding service for Sunday's event.

Metro plans for Sunday marathon

Metrorail will open at 5 a.m. Sunday to accommodate the runners and spectators heading to the Marine Corps Marathon. In addition to opening two hours earlier than normal, the transit authority will put on extra Blue Line trains.

Sunday marathon to disrupt traffic

I've been getting some inquiries from residents in the D.C. area who want to avoid the Marine Corps Marathon traffic on Sunday. Several readers who live close in are particularly concerned with getting to and from Reagan National Airport.
