Efforts underway to restore Md. creek after sewage overflow

Officials at the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) on Friday said that 269,325 gallons of untreated sewage flowed into Reddy Branch Creek in Brookville after a sewer pipe burst earlier this week.

State moves future Purple Line facility away from Lyttonsville homes

Maryland transit planners have redesigned a future Purple Line rail yard and maintenance facility to locate it farther from homes in the Lyttonsville area of Silver Spring.
