Beltway lane closings in Virginia this week

The 495 Express Lanes project is closing the outer loop at Springfield overnights. Meanwhile, the Wilson Bridge project has moved the outer loop’s THRU/LOCAL lane split.

Drivers protest VDOT plan to impose E-ZPass fees

Drivers with Virginia E-ZPasses object to the state’s plan to charge a $1 per month fee to maintain their accounts. VDOT’s deadline for public comment is Tuesday.

495 Express Lanes project closing Route 7 ramp

On Friday, the Virginia Department of Transportation plans to close the right-side ramp from eastbound Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) to the Capital Beltway’s inner loop and turn on a new traffic signal.
