No one knows whether or not former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will run for president in 2016 but his mother, at least, has made clear she doesn't want him to. In an interview with C-SPAN for its "First Ladies" series, Barbara Bush said that she "hope[d] he won’t, because I think he’ll get all my enemies, all his brother’s, all — and there are other families. I refuse to accept that this great country isn’t raising other wonderful people."
Andy Marlette, an editorial cartoonist at the Pensacola News Journal, offered up his take on Barbara's Bush latest comments on her son's candidacy. It's below -- and it is terrific.
Jay Carney, former reporter and current White House press secretary, feuded with the press corps today over the strictures the administration has put on access to the president -- most notably for photographers and video-journalists. (NOTE: The Washington Post has signed a letter along with a number of other news organizations protesting the White House’s policy.)
The G-8 summit in northern Ireland is over. And, while there was plenty of policy discussed -- and you should read all about it -- our lasting memory of the gathering will be the awkward body language between President Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin during a joint press conference on Monday.
While we could have posted 100 of our favorite pictures from the duo's press conference (not kidding) we managed to narrow it down to just eight. Let the awkwardness flow over you.
