Army on BRAC: “Traffic? We’ve got this Plan, see...”

When the Army decided to build a new office for 6,400 people in Alexandria, it also came up with a Transportation Plan. And a look at The Plan reveals it was really, uh, not so good.

BRAC federal building at Alexandria’s Mark Center vulnerable to terrorists, Pentagon study says

A Pentagon internal study of the possible damage that could be done by a truck bomb to the new BRAC building at Mark Center is quite horrifying, Time magazine reports.

BRAC: Alexandria’s four-letter word for ‘carmageddon’?

This week, the first of the 6,400 new full-time Defense Department employees began moving into the BRAC building near Seminary Road. Many, many questions remain about how this will not turn into “carmageddon.”
