Democrat Brian Schatz has beaten John Carroll, a Republican, in the race for the Hawaii Senate seat currently held by Schatz.

All of Hawaii's House seats have been decided. Democrats have held one seat. Every House seat is up for election every two years.

Hawaii voted for Hillary Clinton, the Democratic former secretary of state, in Tuesday’s presidential election.
