Campaign 2016

Maine caucus election results

The New Hampshire primaries are Feb. 9. Delegates at stake: 24 pledged for Democrats, 23 bound for Republicans.

What to watch for in Maine

Five states hold Democratic and Republican primaries on March 5, including Maine. Saturday’s caucus has Republican candidates battling for 23 available delegates. Though smaller, Maine’s voter base has a mix of evangelical christians and strong conservatives similar to New Hampshire, putting Trump in the lead.

Independent expenditures

Super PACs have spent supporting and opposing current presidential candidates in Maine. The super PACs are technically independent. They are required to identify the money they spend in favor of or against specific candidates.
