Republican Tim Scott has beaten Thomas Dixon, a Democrat, in the race for the South Carolina Senate seat currently held by Scott.

All of South Carolina's House seats have been decided. Republicans have held six seats, while Democrats have held one. Every House seat is up for election every two years.

South Carolina voted for Republican businessman Donald Trump in Tuesday’s presidential election.
