Puerto Rico native was dominant in every facet of the game. As a pitcher, went 11-0 with a 0.55 ERA and led the region with 86 strikeouts. At the plate, batted .537 with 49 runs and 33 RBI. Committed to Seminole State Community College but will enter the MLB Draft.

UTL Kody Milton

Severna Park / Jr.

Had a .580 batting average and 1.058 slugging percentage, with six home runs and 32 RBI. Led Falcons to Maryland 4A East region title. Verbally committed to Maryland.

1B Nick Vermillion

Spalding / Sr.

Batted .416 with six home runs and 29 RBI. Was 9-1 as a pitcher with 79 strikeouts and a 1.11 ERA.

SS Jack Roberts

St. John's / Sr.

WCAC player of the year helped lead Cadets to fourth straight conference title. Batted .337 with five home runs. Was 3-0 pitching with four saves and 0.64 ERA.

UTL Danny Hosley

Langley / Sr.

Converted catcher moved to shortstop and pitcher for his senior season. Batted .516 with 10 doubles and 10 RBI. Was 3-1 pitching with three saves and 1.18 earned run average.

OF Trendon Craig

DeMatha / Jr.

Batted .400 with 12 runs scored, 31 RBI and two home runs before tearing his ACL during WCAC playoffs.

3B Joey Goldsmith

Madison / Sr.

An athletic defender who hits with power to all fields. Batted .389 with six home runs and 32 RBI. Will play for St. John's River State College in Palatka, Fla.

2B Kyle Whitten

Osbourn Park / Sr.

Virginia commit batted .451 with 23 hits, a home run and 14 RBI. Was 5-2 on the mound with 73 strikeouts and a 1.74 ERA.

C Ryan Davis

Oakon / Sr.

Georgetown commit hit .508 with three home runs and 18 RBI. Defensively, threw out 57 percent of would-be base stealers.

P James Price

Patriot / Sr.

Hard-throwing right-hander struck out 45 batters over 45 innings and posted a 5-1 record and 1.40 ERA.

P Carter Bosch

Potomac School / Jr.

Emerged as the top pitcher in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference with 50 strikeouts in 28 innings. Also led the Panthers with 38 hits.

OF Eric Wayman

Whitman / Sr.

Set program records with 22 steals and a .647 on-base percentage while flashing spectacular range in center field. Had a .490 batting average.

Coach of the Year Todd Varesco


In his seventh season, Jaguars finished 19-4 and won Maryland 4A state title with an 8-0 victory over Howard High in the title game. Also coached Northwest to a state title in 2012, the program's first title. Under Varesco, Jaguars are 92-48. Three of his players will play college baseball next season.

P Jake Wood

Chopticon / Sr.

Recorded a 0.46 ERA in 30 innings, including four complete games, for a team that advanced to third round of Maryland 4A playoffs.

OF Ryan Kennington

Northwest / Sr.

Hit .448 with 23 RBI, six doubles and six triples for the Maryland 4A state champions. Will play at Penn State Harrisburg.

P Joe Seidler

Chesapeake / Jr.

Ace of the Maryland 3A state finalist Cougars, recorded a 2.02 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 55 1/3 innings. At the plate he batted .420 with 25 RBI.
