Alan Goldenbach

Alan Goldenbach has covered high school sports in the District, Maryland and Virginia for The Post since 1999. He enjoys covering the games’ less-noticed figures, off-the-field issues and how sports impact society. Those all manifested in his 2005 feature on high school wrestler Trevon Jenifer, who was born without legs and later became the subject of Goldenbach’s first book. Raised in New York, Goldenbach graduated from the University of Michigan. He lives in Maryland with his wife and daughter.
