Yorktown opened the game with a 58-yard touchdown reception from quarterback William Porter to Tanner Wall. Then Yorktown's Adam Luncher's scored on a one-yard run and the first quarter closed with Yorktown up, 13-0.
In the second quarter, the Warriors cut into Yorktown's lead with a four-yard touchdown run by Rodney Lee. Yorktown scored three times in the quarter. Wall caught a five-yard touchdown from the Patriot's quarterback Grant Wilson. Davis Patterson had a 35-yard touchdown reception and scored on a four-yard touchdown run.
Yorktown was up 34-7 when the Patriots Adrian Alvarez scored on a 10-yard touchdown run.
The Patriots closed out the fourth quarter with Nicholas Stiller's 34-yard field goal. Yorktown defeated Wakefield, 44-7.
Porter led the Patriots with 144 passing yards, completing five of six attempts. He had two touchdowns. James Smith led the Patriots with 62 rushing yards on three carries. Wall led Yorktown with 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns on five catches.
Yorktown will host W.T. Woodson High School (0-1, 0-0) on Sept. 15. Wakefield will host Eastern High School (0-2, 0-0) on Sept. 15.
