Annandale opened the game with a two-yard touchdown run by Devin Gill. The Statesmen's Boman Raskin tied the game with a 23-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Andrew Margiotta. Annandale took the lead from Marshall with a four-yard touchdown run by Gill, bringing the score to 13-7.
Annandale led going into the second half, 21-13. The Statesmen got closer with a 42-yard touchdown run by Margiotta. Annandale scored again on McCrossin's 15-yard touchdown run. The Atoms added to their lead on Gill's five-yard touchdown run.
Down 34-20 at the start of the fourth quarter, Marshall closed the gap with a 33-yard touchdown reception to Aidan Platter. The Statesmen's Platter tied the score with a two-yard touchdown run.
The game entered overtime with the score tied 34-34.. Margiotta helped the Statesmen take the lead with a five-yard touchdown run. Annandale scored the game's final points on a 10-yard touchdown run by Baron Davis.
Gonzales-Pinto led Marshall with 178 rushing yards and one touchdown on 17 carries. Platter led the Statesmen with 67 receiving yards and one touchdown on three catches.
Marshall (5-1, 2-0) will host George Mason High School (5-0, 0-0) on Oct. 13. Annandale (3-3, 0-0) will play West Potomac High School (3-2, 0-0) on Oct. 13.
