The Washington Post names Tim Meko as deputy graphics director

May 25, 2018 at 1:12 PM

Announcement from Chiqui Esteban, Graphics Director at The Washington Post:

I am happy to announce that Tim Meko has been named the Deputy Director of Graphics, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the graphics team.

Tim came to The Post in 2016 from the Urban Institute where he led a team of designers and developers. In his time here, Tim has been a constant source of visual ideas and ambitious projects and has excelled as a team player, leading some of our most important work. Tim has pushed the team to new heights in projects that explained America’s infrastructure, highlighted what North Korea could target in case of nuclear war and showed the best places in America to host Winter Olympics. Recently, he was named Senior Graphics Editor.

Tim lives in Falls Church with his wife Leslie and his daughters Eleanor (3 1/2) and Anna (11 months). He is known for his love for maps and, most importantly, beer brewing.

Please join me in congratulating Tim on his new role.
