Monica started at the Post in September 2015 as a weekend video editor. In 2016, she moved to the national desk, where she produced the fun “Election-free video series.” Monica developed a talent for editing science videos and produced engaging explainers about kratom , cell phone surveillance and sleep paralysis, just to name a few. She has a knack for making more serious stories accessible too, through videos about the #MeToo movement, and this moving piece on school shooting survivors. This year, she showed a remarkable level of versatility, producing a series of March Madness videos and a World Cup video.
In 2017, she was part of the video team that won the Edward R. Murrow Award for continuing coverage of America’s Opioid Crisis. Please congratulate Monica on her new role. She starts immediately.
