The Washington Post’s Arc Publishing will license technology to The Dallas Morning News, one of the most recognizable news brands in the U.S. With this agreement, Arc now powers publications that serve the majority of the top ten media markets in the country.

“Arc’s reputation for providing a seamless integration, streamlined workflow and increased efficiency for both journalists and developers continues to make it an attractive solution for top publishers, brands, and broadcasters,” said Scot Gillespie, CTO at The Washington Post. “We are proud that Arc will support the work of The Dallas Morning News and the experience of its readers. It is a publication with a rich history that’s recognized across Texas and the nation by readers and peers alike.”

With 10 million online readers a month, the News’ flagship site, DallasNews.com, serves the second largest state and one of the biggest metro markets in the country. Working with the Arc team, the News will migrate their entire publishing ecosystem to the Arc platform in the coming months.

“Using Arc gives us the opportunity to focus on what we do best — creating great journalism,” said Grant Moise, Publisher and President of The Dallas Morning News. “With Arc as our underlying engine, we hope to innovate our subscriber experience far more quickly than we could on our own.”
