Widely scattered afternoon and evening thundershowers are expected over the northern Rockies through eastern Montana, eastern Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, and New Mexico. It will be partly cloudy in the Pacific Northwest, the central Great Plains a the Ohio Valley. It will be mostly sunny elsewhere. Cool, cloudy and foggy conditions prevailed over the central Great Plains. Light showers reached from southeastern South Dakota through eastern Kansas and western and southern Missouri. East of the Mississippi partly cloudy skies where the rule. Early afternoon temperatures had warmed into the 70s over the upper Mississippi Valley, the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley eastward following record breaking lows.
