The National Bank of Washington has named three new senior vice presidents. They are: G. William Hollar, Arthur E. Spielman and Paul E. Bramell.

Hollar joined NBW in 1952. He is in charge of the bank's real estate lending department.He is on the board of trustees of the Metropolitan Washington Mortgage Bankers Association and a director of the D.C. Housing industry Corp.

Spielman came to the bank in 1977 after serving at another area bank since 1966. His prior credit experience includes about 15 years with New York financial institutions.

Bramell will be assisting the bank's president with administrative duties. He has served as president of his own financial consulting business.

D. Gene Merrill has been named president and Ralph D. Vermilio has been named senior vice president of Metropolitan Mortgage Fund Inc. of Alexandria.

Before joining Metropolitan on March 1, Merrill was senior vice president and a director of Mercantile Mortgage Co. of St. Louis. Vermilio also comes to the firm from Mercantile where he was regional vice president in charge of all production offices.

Jeffrey F. Abramson has been appointed vice president of The Marcus Corp., a commercial construction company and a division of Berger/Berman Builders Inc. of Rockville.

Before joining Marcus, Abramson was the construction manager with Charles E. Smith Building Corp. for the Crystal Square Office Complex and the Crystal Underground Shopping Mall in Arlington.

Several promotions were recently announced at IB Credit Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of International Bank.

Lawrence R. Hartman was promoted to executive vice president of IB Credit Corp. He joined the corporation in 1968 as a vice president and became senior vice president in 1974.

Hugh C. Mulligan was named senior vice president. He joined the Intermediate Credit Corp. in 1964 as assistant treasurer, was promoted to treasurer and vice president in 1973 and joined IB Credit when Intermediate Credit was merged into IBCC in Dec. 1978.

Wilson M. Watson was promoted to vice president. He joined IB Credit in 1978. He was formerly with Sebrite Corp. in Atlanta.

Paul R. O'Neil has been promoted to vice president and managing director of the Sheraton-Park Hotel. He most recently was general manager of the Philadelphia Sheraton Hotel.

O'Neil joined Sheraton as a management trainee in 1968. He was resident manager of the Sheraton-Cadillac in Detriot and the New York Sheraton before being named manager of the Sheraton-Waikiki in 1973. He was promoted to general manager of the Philadelphia Sheraton in 1975.

John A. Barnes has been appointed operating manager of the Montgomery Ward store in Falls Church. He was formerly operating manager of the Uniontown, Pa., retail store.
