The Maryland Savings and Loan League recently elected Robert A. Williams as chairman, Alexander R.M. Boyle as vice chairman and re-elected Charles H. Kressleing Jr. as president.

Williams is president of Riverside Federal Savings and Loan, a position he has held since 1964. He has served as vice chairman of the league for the past two years.

Boyle is president and chief executive officer of Government Services Savings and Loan Inc. From 1962 to 1976 he worked for Sterling Drug Inc. and was vice president of finance for Elizabeth Arden Inc. from 1967 to 1972. He joined Government Services in 1975.

Michael V. Caruso has been named Maryland district credit manager for General Electric Credit Corp's department in Baltimore.

Lawrence N. Smith has been elected executive vice president of United Virginia Bankshares Inc. He also will remain as president and chief executive officer for UVB/Seaboard National in Norfolk.

Patricia M. Hannum has been named resources specialist for the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority.

Peter W. Floeckher Jr. has been named senior national executive in the corporate banking division for the First National Bank of Maryland.

Sally Willis Rogers has joined the Baltimore advertising firm of Richardson, Myers & Donofrio Inc. as account supervisor.

Alexandra Armstrong has been elected senior vice president of Julia M. Walsh & Sons Inc.

Harold Glazer has been elected president of Ryland Mortgage Co.

Michael M. Hunter has been named to the public affairs staff of the ITT Washington office.

Bruce E. Wallin has been named to the newly created position of vice president and director of personnel for Newsweek.

Pete Manos has been named vice president for delicatessen-dairy operations for Giant Food Inc.
