The Epilepsy Foundation of America has appointed William M. McLin executive director of the foundation, the national voluntary organization concerned with the prevention and control of epilepsy. McLin will be responsible for directing the activities of the national organization and its 160 state and local chapters.
McLin joined the foundation's staff in 1976 and most recently was deputy executive director for government liaison. Before that, he was director of Programs for Youth at the national office of the American Cancer Society. He also served as director of program services for the Maryland division of ACS and as director of the Prince George's County unit.
McLin is a graduate of George Washington University and holds a masters degree in health education and journalism from the University of Maryland.
James M. Kearns has been named vice president of the International Finance Corp., an affiliate of the World Bank. Kearns will be in charge of finance, personnel, administration programs and budget and new development initiatives.
