Several top-level promotions in its corporate and operating executive staffs have been announced by Martin Marietta Corp. of Bethesda.

The board of directors elected David S. Levine and Charles H. Leithauser to be senior vice presidents of the corporation. LeVine is a corporate vice president who has served as president of Martin Marietta Cement Co. In his new position, LeVine will be in charge of operations, and presidents of the various Martin Marietta entities will report to him. Leithauser will be responsible for all financial functions, industrial relations and other administrative functions.

Also promoted was Philip H. Sendel, to corporate vice president and president of Martin Marietta Cement. At Martin Marietta Aluminum Inc., Bernard W. Gamson was elected executive vice president, with Dr. George W. Morganthaler succeeding him as vice president. Robert W. Powell Jr. was elected corporate treasurer, effective Jan. 1.

Frank J. Ryan has been appointed to the newly created position of director of corporate communications for the Crouse-Hinds Co.

Barbara B. Lucas has been appointed corporate secretary of the Equitable Bancorporation and Equitable Trust Co. Lucas will be responsible for stockholder relations, coordination of Bancorporation affiliates, and will serve as liason officer with outside federal and state regulatory agencies.

The board of directors of the Export-Import Bank of the United States has elected James C. Cruse vice president for policy analysis.

Richard C. Williams has been appointed senior vice president, finance, of UNC Resources of Falls Church. Williams will be the chief financial officer responsible for all financial functions of the corporation.

Lee A. Eckard has been appointed head of the management systems department of the Vitro Laboratories Division of Automation Industries Inc. Joseph M. Van Norman has been promoted to head of the test department.
