Three women have been elected vice presidents of Arlington-Fairfax Savings & Loan Association. They are: Ethel V. Lent, Ruth A. Stewart and Cheryl A. Insko.
Lent started her career with Arlington-Fairfax in 1961. She was in charge of the bookkeeping and payroll department before serving as assistant vice president in the loan servicing department. Stewart has been with the association since 1965. She was named corporate secretary in 1974 after having served as a teller, assistant secretary and branch manager and assistant vice president in the executive department. Insko joined Arlington-Fairfax in 1972 as the mortgage loan manager. She was elected assistant vice president of the mortgage loan department in 1975. She now serves as vice president in charge of residential and construction loans.
Also named vice presidents at Arlington-Fairfax were Michael C. Pierson and H. Paul Mount Jr.
The First National Bank of Maryland announced eight officer appointments. The loan division named Wayne L. Breeden to loan officer. James D. Lince was appointed field examination officer and Michael E. Williams was named senior loan officer. Meredith B. Rowe was promoted to international operations officer. Eugene A. Friedman was named senior retail officer. Gary E. Butler was named trust officer of the trust division. In the suburban South region, James G. Snead and Richard C. Nettles were named regional loan officers.
J. Henry Butta, vice president of C&P Telephone, has been elected to the board of directors of Union Trust Bancorp and its subsidiary, Union Trust Co. of Maryland.
David C. Bilsing, formerly corporate controller for Baxter Travenol Laboratories, has been elected controller of Reynolds Metals Co.
John E. Waterfield has been appointed vice president of the public relations firm of Scottland Yards Inc.
Ron Aaron Eisenberg has been named executive vice president of Marston and Rothenberg Public Affairs Inc.
