Veteran television news correspondent and former White House press secretary Ron Nessen has joined the public relations firm of Robert Marston and Associates and its affiliated company, Marston and Rothenberg Public Affairs.
Nessen becomes senior vice president of Marston and Rothenberg, based in Washington, as well as a senior associate of the New York-based Robert Marston and Associates. He will work in Washington with former White House colleague Ron Aaron Eisenberg, who heads the Washington office, and in New York with Robert Marston and Robert Rothenberg.
Nessen was an NBC news correspondent from 1962 until he went to the White House in 1974. Prior to joining NBC News, he was an editor and writer for United Press International from 1956 to 1962.
Oliver C. Boileau, president of Boeing Aerospace Co., has been named president of General Dynamics Corp., one of the nation's leading defense contractors. Boileau succeeds David S. Lewis, who will continue as chairman and chief executive officer.
Beatrice N. Vaccara has been named to head the Department of Commerce's new Bureau of Industrial Economics. Vaccara is deputy assistant secretary of the Treasury for domestic economic policy and a former Commerce official. The new bureau will provide information and analysis on the nation's structure and its relationship to the economy.
