First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Washington has reelected James M. Jacobsen, E. Kendall Lorenz and F. Alden Murray Jr. to its board of directors and elected Jerry W. Revels a vice president of the $390 million association. Revels was previously assistant treasurer and assistant vice president.
Alexander G. Castelli and John A. DiGiulian have been appointed to the board of advisors of the National Bank of Washington. Castelli is a managing partner of Castelli & Catudal, a Blacksburg accounting firm and former vice president and chief financial officer of McBrides Inc., a D.C. department store.
The Financial Marketing Council of Greater Washington last week elected Clifton Gill Jr., vice president and manager of the First American Bank of Virginia branch at Tysons Corner, as its new president. Carolyn Wells, marketing director of Columbia Federal S&L was named vice president; Anthony Bardo, marketing officer of Virginia National Bank was elected secretary and Harry (Ted) Barnett, vice president of Home Federal S & L was elected treasurer.
At the group's annual meeting, three awards also were announced -- the first in the council's 23 years. Neil Muerlin of Home Federal was cited for his contributions as an officer and member in the association of financial institution and media executives; Jacqueline Erickson, marking director of National Bank of Washington was honored for successful translation of financial documents into plain English; and William H. Jones, deputy financial editor of The Washington Post was cited for "a decade of excellence in financial writing."
Jay F. May has been promoted to assistant vice president and internal auditor at Baltimore Federal Savings and Loan Association.
Rowe Price New Horizons Fund, a no-load (no sales charge) mutual fund sponsored by T. Rowe Price Associates Inc. of Baltimore, has elected Thomas M. Mink vice president, Lucy C. Ritter assistant vice president and Kay Y. Simmons assistant secretary. Meanwhile, Donald W. Dick Jr., vice president and treasurer of McCormick & Co. Inc., was elected a director of T. Rowe Growth Stock Fund, the world's largest no-load stock mutual fund.
Warren P. Rothe has been elected executive vice president and L. Edward O'Hara has been named senior vice president of Suburban Trust Co. Rothe has been with Suburban for 26 years and oversees the operation of the commercial loan, consumer banking group, loan administration and mortgage loan departments. O'Hara is in charge of the investment division. Hel joined the bank in 1958.
