Several executive changes were announced at Comsat General Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Communications Satellite Corp.
Richard S. Bodman was named president and chief operating officer, Joseph H. O'Connor was named executive vice president and Michael S. Alpert was named vice president for planning and new ventures.
Bodman had been senior vice president for finance and corporate development of the parent company, Communications Satellite Corp., and previously had been with Du Pont. O'Connor most recently served as Comsat General's senior vice president for finance and administration and treasurer. Alpert has been Comsat's assistant vice president for corporate development since 1978.
Shelly M. Jackson has been named press respresentative for the Mutual Broadcasting System Inc. She was most recently administrator of press relations and publicity for WRC-TV.
Charles W. Lockyer Jr., formerly a vice president of Fidelity Bank of Philadelphia, has been elected vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Pubco Corp., a Glenn Dale holding company for printing companies and publishers.
Wayne Kelly has been named executive editor and publisher of Congressional Quarterly Inc. He has been executive editor of the Washington-based news and research service since 1975. Other changes at CQ include: Peter Harkeness, promoted to deputy executive editor in charge of editorial and book operations; Robert Hur, named general manager; Robert Cuthriell, named director of research and development; and James Bullard, given the additional duties of sales manager. d
