Robert Pandolfi, an associate broker with Kenneth H. Michael Cos. Inc., of Cheverly, has been elected president of Prince George's Board of Realtors. He formerly owned and operated Pandolfi Realty Co. here. He has been active in area real estate for two decades and has held every elective office in the county board. In another development, the county board selected Thomas A. Cardaci Realtor of the Year for Prince George's County. Cardaci is principal broker of All Pro Realty in Upper Marlboro.

Lyn Phinney has been appointed director of new homes, central region, for Merrill Lynch Realty/Chris Coile Inc. She will be responsible for all aspects of promoting and marketing new home subdivisions within her jurisdiction.

Anne McCool has joined the Reston Land Corp. to head an expanded market program. She will segment and analyze the Reston residential housing market in order to help builders and developers identify the types of housing most saleable in Reston's future.

The Federal National Mortgage Association has announced three appointments to its new department of marketing: William J. Hogan as director of marketing; John M. Delaney as director of mortgage program training, and Bennie H. Dixon as director of community development.

Thomas G. Shafran has been promoted to the presidency of Better Homes Realty Inc. and its subsidiary companies.

Marie A. Wexler has joined the commercial division of Long & Foster Realtors. She will concentrate on commercial sales and leasing in the Reston area.

Stephen Swaney has joined the commercial sales and leasing department of Weaver Bros. Inc. He is the founder and president of Swaney-Kerns Architects Ltd. Winfield Weitzel, a ten-year veteran of that department, has been promoted to vice president. Franklin Paulson and Michael Farnum have been named assistant vice presidents of the commercial sales department at Weaver Bros.

A. Joseph O'Brien has been promoted to assistant vice president in Shannon & Luchs' northern Virginia commercial leasing office. He previously worked for American Security Bank as manager of corporate services.

Edward V. "Bud" Jordan has assumed the position of general manager of Cardinal Realty Inc. He will be in charge of the firm's general real estate brokerage operation.

Gerald J. Stank, financial vice president and treasurer of Fair Lanes Inc., has been named to the board of directors of BTR Realty Inc. He replaces Edmund F. Hoey, who recently resigned.
