Jean G. Ross, a trustee of Montgomery General Hospital, has been appointed to the Maryland Hospital Association's permanent committee on health planning. She was recently appointed to a new term on the Maryland Advisory Committee on Wage and Hour Law by Gov. Harry R. Hughes and is on the executive committees of both the Montgomery County chapter of the American Red Cross and the United Way.

Thomas E. Boyce has been elected president of the Kiwanis Club of Washington, succeeding Douglas van der Linden. He is a partner in the accounting firm of Matthews, Carter & Boyce.

Sol Fishko, president of the International Printing and Graphics Communications Union, and Martin R. West Jr., president of Weaver Brothers Inc. and chairman of the board of Interstate Federal Savings and Loan Association, have been elected national trustees of the National Jewish Hospital/National Asthma Center in Denver, Colo.

Robert F.R. Peters Jr. has been appointed director of financial development of the District chapter of The American Red Cross. He was formerly associated with the fund raising division of United Way of America in Alexandria. In another development, Walter W. Wurfel, vice president of corporate communications for Gannet Co. Inc., has been appointed to the National Public Affairs Advisory Committee of The American Red Cross.

Robbie A. Callaway has been appointed executive director and a member of the board of the National Youth Work Alliance.
