Jay Treadwell has been named vice president of marketing and sales for Guest Services Inc., a company that operates cafeterias in federal buildings, retail shops and recreational facilities. Treadwell previously directed the company's custom services division after operating the U.S. Senate restaurant complex for six years. He was the recipient in 1978 of the International Food Services Manufacturers' Association Silver Plate Award.

Colleen M. Evans has been appointed director of public relations for the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City, which is scheduled to open in January. She was previously with the Washington office of J. Walter Thompson.

Anton P. Hegg was recently named director of purchasing for the Washington properties of Hilton Hotels Corp. He was previously assistant director of purchasing for the Washington Hilton.

Gail Simpson is manager of the new McDonald's restaurant on Good Hope Road in Southeast Washington.

Patricia L. Shinko has been promoted to director of annual education conferences for the Food Marketing Institute. She was previously a manager in the institute's education division. Todd S. Mann has been named director of planning and industry relations. He joined the institute in 1978 as manager of research with responsibility for energy programs.

Donald A. Kurtzman has become director of hotel operations for Coakley & Williams Inc. He has been employed by American Motor Inns Inc., Holiday Inns and the Marriott Corp.

Guy Bising has joined the Shoreham Hotel as director of sales. He has been director of marketing for Harpenau Hotels in Cincinnati for the past three years.

The Marriott Corp. has announced that Fletch Wallace Jr. has become senior vice president of marketing; John Hyland will become joint director of marketing for the Crystal City Marriott and the new Crystal Gateway Hotel, which is scheduled to open in June, 1982, and that Robert T. Souers has been named director of corporate relations. Wallace was formerly vice president and director of marketing services for General Mills Inc. Hyland was director of marketing at the Washington Marriott Hotel. Souers has been manager of the Sperry Corp. corporate news services.

Kathleen R. Dietrich has been named travel industry sales manager at the Sheraton-Washington Hotel. Noreen O'Dowd has been appointed association sales manager for the hotel.

Stouffer's Hotels announced recently that Nicholas A. Hendrick has been named general manager of the Stouffer's National Center Hotel in Arlington, after serving since 1972 as general manager of the company's Valley Forge hotel. Hendrick replaces H. D. Lewis, who has been named project manager of the $45 million renovation of the Mayflower Hotel, which Stouffer now manages. Eric W. Ewoldt has been appointed general manager of the Mayflower. Ewoldt was most recently manager of the Stouffer hotel in White Plains, N.Y.

Joan Allen has been promoted to national sales manager for the mid-Atlantic regional sales office of Omni International Hotels Ltd.

Matthew J. Hannon has been elected president of the Baltimore-Washington Food Brokers Association. Michael DiBella was named first vice president; Richard Stellhorn, second vice president; Kevin McCracken, secretary, and Thomas Damiano, treasurer.
