The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recently announced a top-level reorganization following the retirement of senior vice president William G. Van Meter.

Vice president of program and federation development Richard L. Breault will become group vice president for policy, a position which will include legislative and political affairs and field operations.

Thomas J. Donohue, currently vice president of development, has been named group vice president for development. Donohue will be in charge of corporate relations, membership sales, the affiliated grass-roots organization Citizen's Choice, and the National Chamber Foundation.

Vice president of communications Carl Grant will become group vice president for that field, which now encompasses the publishing group, the broadcast group, special projects and media relations. Grant also will be responsible for BizNet, the chamber's national television network.

Lawrence B. Kraus, currently vice president for finance and general counsel, will assume the duties of group vice president for administration. He will be in charge of the office of controller, general counsel, the National Litigation Center, general services and operations.

Donald J. Kroes, currently general manager of field operations, was appointed vice president of federation development. Jeffrey H. Joseph, who is now manager of the chamber's business and government affairs division, will become vice president for domestic policy.
