G. Joseph Reddington has been named general manager of the Sears Washington-Baltimore Group of retail stores. He succeeds J. Pat Galloway, who has been appointed executive vice president for the company's eastern region.
Reddington has held various management positions within the Sears Merchandise Group, including national director of personnel policies and benefits and director of planning in the company's Chicago headquarters. He was most recently general manager of the Ohio Valley Group of stores, which has headquarters in Cincinnati.
Sears' Washington-Baltimore Group administers the retail stores in the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas as well as stores in Frederick, Annapolis, Hagerstown and Salisbury, Md.; Chambersburg and Hanover, Pa., and Fredericksburg and Winchester, Va.
Kenn Karakul has been appointed operating vice president and manager of Bloomingdale's at White Flint Mall. Karakul was most recently a divisional vice president and manager for Lord & Taylor's operations in Westchester, N.Y.
In a related development, Ann Stock has been appointed regional director for Bloomingdale's White Flint and Tysons Corners stores. She was formerly director of scheduling and advance for Walter F. Mondale.
Stanley E. Paul has become vice president of sales for Stern Office Furniture Inc. He was previously southeast marketing manager for Johnson Systems, a computer software company. In addition, Sheila Moore Campbell has been named vice president of marketing for the company. She has been a vice president for Earle Palmer Browne.
A.W. Parker Jr. has been promoted to division manager of the Washington, D.C. division of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.
Jeffery D. Blackmer has become manager of market development for the eastern region of Panasonic's Video Systems Division. He was formerly manager of national accounts for Panasonic's eastern zone.
C. Stuart McMichael has been appointed vice president of Custom Print Inc. In addition, Kenneth F. Fisher was named comptroller of the company.
