Robert W. Baumann has been elected vice president for human resources and organization development of Comsat. Baumann was formerly vice president for human resources of the Mead Corp. in Dayton, Ohio.

Donald Mathison has been named vice president for marketing and programming of Media General Cable of Fairfax. He was formerly director of sales and marketing of Group W Cable's southwest region.

Ruth Jordan has been named vice president of Hager, Sharp & Abramson Inc., a Washington public relations firm. Jordan was formerly president of Columbia Associates, which merged with HS&A June 1.

William F. Moreland has been named vice president and general manager of the new Washington office of Richardson, Myers & Donofrio Inc., a Baltimore-based advertising agency. Roy O. Harris Jr. was named vice president for public relations.

Willie Heinz has established Willie Heinz Productions, a multimedia presentations firm, in Columbia. Heinz was formerly director of multimedia of Communications Corp. in Washington.

Mary D. Yerrick has been promoted to vice president for business development of Henry J. Kaufman & Associates in Washington. Jan Teich has been named an account executive.

Margaret Dore has joined WJLA-TV as producer of "News 7 Tonight." She succeeds Steve Shusman who has been named producer of "News 7: The Six O'Clock Report."
